At Binge Island, we understand that sometimes business priorities or project scopes change. However, payments made for a specific website project or service are typically non-transferable to other projects or services. Here’s why and how we handle these situations:
Non-Transferable Payments
When you make a payment for a specific service (e.g., a website build, revamp, or update), that payment is considered dedicated to that project. This means that:
- Payments are allocated directly towards the completion of the service you’ve agreed upon.
- We cannot transfer funds to a different project or service once they have been processed.
What Happens If You Need to Change Projects?
If your business needs change and you require a different service or project, we recommend the following steps:
- New Project Agreement: You can start a new project with us by signing a new contract and making payments specific to that service.
- Unused Funds: If, for any reason, you decide to cancel the current project before its completion (subject to our Cancellation Policy), any unused funds may be refunded or applied as a credit towards a new project at our discretion.
Flexibility in Project Adjustments
While payments are not transferable between projects, we offer flexibility within a project’s scope. For example, if your project needs to change direction or additional features are required, we can amend the project scope through a formal process. Additional charges for scope changes will be communicated in advance, and any new payments will be agreed upon.
How to Proceed If You Need a Different Service
If you find that you need to shift your focus to another service, such as ongoing maintenance or website updates, please contact us. We’ll assess your current project and discuss how we can move forward with the new service. You may need to pay for the new service separately, as it will be treated as a new project.
